Journalism
I spent the last 21 years—half my career as a journalist—working as a senior editor at Chemical & Engineering News, the weekly newsmagazine of the American Chemical Society. The ACS is a professional society of scientists, not an industry association. And I am not a chemist. I worked as a business writer with a degree in English Literature, covering energy, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. I retired in December, 2023. Here are several features of mine that I felt were important for C&EN to publish as well as my swan song guest editorial.
